Geometry setup of Metal-tube-metal junctions
« on: October 28, 2011, 01:24 »
Hi, everyone, I am new to Quantum Wise. And I have a  simple question.

I want to set up a metal-nanotube-metal junctions, however, I couldn't successfully do this . I used molecular junction and tried to drag carbon nanotube as a molecular into the junction, but it either has no change or shows up as a periodic tube in a wrong direction, and cannot be adjusted.
I don't know how others get the geometry done, I can get the electrode configuration from the monowire button , and I can get the nanotube configuration from the nanotube button, however, I couldn't align them in one script and thus in one picture. Also the numbers of atoms are too large.
Is there any easy way to set this device up?  Thank you beforehand.
