Title: Three Electrode Configuration
Post by: medeepak on July 16, 2011, 18:15
Hi

Is it possible to create a structure that contains a three electrode configuration
does ATK support that type of calculation

Not if you want a current to flow through the 3rd electrode. But if its role is to modulate the electron density in the central region, as one would use it for a field-effect transistor (FET), you can add a metallic region and assign a voltage to it. See the graphene transistor tutorial (http://quantumwise.com/documents/tutorials/latest/GrapheneDevice/) for details.
