Title: Building of graphene pn junction
Post by: rabort on April 2, 2013, 09:26
hallo sir,
how to build the graphene pn junction in atk 12.2.2,
i build 15*1 nm graphene sheet and doping has been done by moddify the script as " charge=0.07" --- this is P type ,
                                                                                                                                              and   "charge=-0.07" --- this in N type,
P type and N type are verified by using Band Structures.
then how to join both P and N type materials and how to build Pn junction.
please send me any tutorial is there.
                                                                                  thanks for your reply

Rather than "joining" the doped regions, you should approach the problems as usual when constructing a device, and set it up without doping. Then, once the device model is eastablished, incl. the DeviceCalculator, you edit the Python script and add the "charge" keywords to the electrode calculators.

thanks for your replay sir.....,
joining of two reagions means -- in "Builder"  by using of "merg cell"? is it correct,

I don't know enough about your system to say for sure, but that's one option, yes.
