Post by: ams_nanolab on April 25, 2013, 16:11
While trying to get transmission spectra of mos2 monolayer, i am getting the following error (screenshot attached). Kindly help.

Unusual, need to look at script.

PS: Update to 12.8.2 (you have 12.8.0) - important bug fixes!

I want to send u the nc file but the attachment size is a problem, so I am mailing u. I don't know if its version related as I had run transmission spectra of MX2 nanotubes on the same version and it ran perfectly.

You cannot calculate the transmission spectrum for a bulk configuration like this. See http://quantumwise.com/publications/tutorials/mini-tutorials/167 for the proper way to do it.

Oops  sorry for the error... ;D

Is there some way to apply source/drain and gate voltage in the transmission other than defining electrodes, gates etc. explicitly ??? would be real nice if it could be done.

Not really, no, this is what the two-probe or device model is for. No cheating! :)
