Title: single atom transistor
Post by: Maneesh on July 11, 2013, 09:52
Dear,

      sir

I am very thanks for tutorials guidelines but i want to know is it possible to replace benzene molecule by atom and
build single atom  transistor as given in tutorials .  some research paper on theoretically study on single atom
         transistor  provided to me.

so i am very thanks your atk expert team

In principle you can place the benzene by any molecule you want in the SET environment, but this will probably not be a good model for a single atom transistor like that in Science 335, 6 (2012). In such a system one also needs probably to take the surface into account, and think a bit about how to model the electrodes.
