Title: Black phosphorus scattering region direction
Post by: Adila on February 16, 2015, 10:03
Dear Sir,
I tried to build black phosphorene following the tutorial. However, I got confused to determine the scattering region direction if I want to add electrodes. Here I attached two possible scattering regions for black phosphorene. Please advice me on this.
Thank you.

Isn't that just a matter of rotating the view 90 degrees? In the end, if there are several choices, I guess it's a good idea to study all possibilities :)

Thank you Sir. I will try both.  :)

Indeed you should expect a strong anisotropy for transport (and other) property.
See for example http://www.nature.com/ncomms/2014/140721/ncomms5475/full/ncomms5475.html
