Title: LOE approx.
Post by: Dipankar Saha on September 8, 2015, 18:47
Hello,
I had a few questions regarding the Inelastic Tr. spectrum _

1) Will this LOE approx. ...be a valid one, for any system where the DOS is energy dependent ??
How about any 1D or 2D strcut. made of 'graphene' ??
2) What happens to the e-ph coupling at low bias regime (say below 0.5 V) ?

1. The LOE approximation is only valid when the DOS is slowly energy dependent, you can always check by comparing with the XLOE approximation which includes the energy dependence.

2. Usually the e-ph coupling start to have an effect when the bias window is larger than the lowest energy phonon, thus, it is very system dependent what happens in the low bias regime,

Dr. K Stokbro,
Thank you very much for those information...!!!   :)
Can we estimate coupling at the interface?

Which interface?

Okay ...for that, I can always go for the bulk config.  (as, I see the new features included in 2015....)

Thanks and Regards_
