Title: Simulation of STM images : Usage Examples
Post by: alexdiazortiz on November 10, 2015, 12:38
I am interested in modeling some STM images of planar organic molecules. I am very excited to see that version 2015.0 of ATK includes already an STM function.

However, since this would be my first ATK calculation, I would highly appreciate some "Usage Examples", as provided for most ATK functions. Unfortunately, for the STM function, there are none.

Have any of you performed already a STM calculation with ATK2015.0?

Best,

AD

Dear AD. The STM functionality is still rather experimental, and we expect it may change/improve a lot for ATK 2016. We are working on a tutorial for how to use it, but it may take some time before we will consider it reader for production simulations.

Dear Jess,

Thanks for your reply.

As I said, I will be very interested in testing the STM function once the tutorial is ready even if the production STM will have to wait to 2016 release of ATK.

Best,
