I am running vnl 2015 on my laptop. while I can build, do script generation rightly, however, as I move to job manager and click the RUN button, windows displays a message the " atkpython has stopped working". I am not able to use the program. Please suggest something.

Dear Basharatwant. It would be helpful with a few more details about this issue. Are you using an ATK trial license? What sort of calculation are you trying to run (ATK-DFT, ATK-Classical, etc.) ?
-
Yes I am using the trial version. Moreover, I am using ATK-DFT . I tried it on Windows 8 . atkpython.exe crashes. However, yesterday, I used the same on another PC running windows 8, it worked fine. job was finished successfully.
-
Did you try completely removing the VNL-ATK installation and then reinstalling ?
-
Uninstalling and reinstalling will 99% never help. Did you check if this is a very large simulation, and perhaps you run out of memory?
-
I uninstalled and installed two times. The simulation is not large, just 30 atoms. I did try it on another PC (running windows 8) , it worked fine. But the problem is my laptop ( windows 10, 16 GB RAM, i7 processor).

Hard for us to solve, if the problem is your laptop...
I would download Process Monitor from Microsoft (https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/processmonitor.aspx) and run it. Add a filter to only see events related to atkpython.exe. Then start the calculation and run it until it crashes, then try to determine from the Process Monitor logs what went wrong.
