Title: Z curve in Transmission Analyzer

I am performing a spin polarized calculation. I understand that the 'up', 'down' curves indicate the spin transmission channels,  'sum' means the sum of both spin channels. It is mentioned in the manual http://docs.quantumwise.com/tutorials/transmission_distorted_gnr.html that "For non-polarized calculations, the default is to show the transmission spectrum of the sum of the up and down channel."

Then what does the z curve mean? As you can see in the attached image, the z curve is not a straight line (like x, y curves, indication zero transmission) nor is it showing proper transmission along z axis. Then what is it?

Please clarify. Thank you! :)

Z = Up-Down
