Title: Effective mass analyzer
Post by: ams_nanolab on December 28, 2015, 10:31
Is it possible to have the old effective mass analyzer as a plugin. It is very convenient and also shows the fitting around the band extrema.

The Custom Analyzer plugins have been dismissed in VNL/ATK 2015 since the corresponding analysis are now well integrated build in analysis objects.
here is described how to use the new effective mass analysis http://quantumwise.com/publications/tutorials/item/500-effective-mass-of-electrons-in-silicon
Unfortunately, it does not show the fitting curve.

A window to show the fitting curve would be much appreciated in the coming versions.

It's actually available already, if you use the LocalBandstructure analysis. See
http://docs.quantumwise.com/tutorials/inas_2d_mgga.html
and search for LocalBandstructure
