Title: Ref. @ strain calculation
Post by: Dipankar Saha on February 29, 2016, 19:49
Hi,
Is there any other ref. /source (apart from the arXiv one_ arXiv:1308.0969v1 [cond-mat.mtrl-sci] ).....dealing with the algorithm that you use for strain calculation?

Thanks and Regards_

Please be more specific, what strain?

Strain on either of the two surfaces or, on both....., while creating an interface between two systems....

I think the arXiv article explains it very well. It's just simple arithmetics, nothing special, you don't need a fancy reference to explain that e11 is the relative strain of the two surface "A" vectors, e22 of the B vectors, and e12 of A+B.

A and B are the red and blue vectors you see in the plot.
