Title: Unable to start license system (Error code 1).
Post by: Aniruddha on May 10, 2017, 12:03
Hi,

I have installed a license server on a cluster. Unfortunately as another license server is using port 6200, I am using port 6300. The license path has been added to bash_profile and vnl correctly opens. However when running a calculation I am getting the error
Unable to start license system (Error code 1).

As mentioned in earlier posts I have checked that the /tmp directory has the executable flag enabled and I can write to /tmp as a regular user.  Also the license is a test license provided for setting up the license server and hence is a floating license.

Is there any other thing I need to check?

thanks and regards

VNL may use a different license, you can check inside VNL what license source it uses (Help>About...), so that may not be relevant.
Generally we need a lot more information which perhaps is not the best idea to put in the public forum, so contact [email protected] instead.
