Title: Help:How to build the surface electrode in the new version?

I am a new user ,and don't know  many knowledges .
so ,right now ,I don't know how to build the surface electrode about Au(gold) in the new version(2010.8).
I could use  the old version(2008.10) to build the Au surface electrode ,at last ,I finished the configuration. But I can't open this file in the new version.
So I don't know  why and  need help ! Thank you very much!
