Title: Spin Polarized IV Curve vs un-spin polarized IV curves
Post by: asma_w on February 7, 2022, 12:10
Greetings,

I have calculated the IV curves for the same structure with spin polarized option and without. I used the same calculator settings.
The sum of the IV curve for the spin-polarized is not the same to the one without spin polarized. Is that normal??!. I was expecting them to be the same. I attached both plots: the sum of spin polarized IV curve and IV curves without spin polarized:

Thanks

No, the sum will not be the same, it's really two different calculations, i.e. the electronic structure (if it's spin-dependent) will be different in the two cases.
