Title: Academic License not working
Post by: bsharma on February 28, 2016, 06:18: after license configuration, i ran the software. for 3 times, software worked well on my system but now it is showing

License Error: (Internal: 147 Feature: ATKMaster)

[LOCAL] C:\Users\Baldeo S\.quantumwise\licenses\quantum_15.0.lic - (Err: 10) HostID does not match license

License configuration (environment variables):

if i remove 'quantum_15.0.lic' file then it shows..

for academic free license, can i use basic ATK??

anyone can help with these errors???

Post by: Jess Wellendorff on February 29, 2016, 08:44: I suppose that the license file that you really want to use is the one named "quantum_15.0.lic", right? What sort of license is that? Free VNL for academics?

I have tried to install the license file. For the first time, I have had a demo license (quantum_15.0.lic) automatically by using the qw_license_config, and I didn't realize that VNL did not use the the free academic VNL license (B05553_485b3925ac5c.lic) which was sent to me. Now, I cannot access to the VNL and I become the same message.
If I remove the demo license, I become the message: Demo limit for your IP address has been exceeded.

I have checked in the license file B05553_485b3925ac5c.lic for the type of the license, I find that : # License type : Permanent

Please, need help

Post by: Anders Blom on February 29, 2016, 13:01: Is 485b3925ac5c a valid MAC address on your system? Run lmxendutil -hostid (also available from within the license configuration tool) to display all valid host IDs on the machine. If you requested the demo license with a virtual host or Wifi connection that later is disabled, then the MAC is no longer available.

Is there an other possibility to have a license for this case?

The virtual host must have a permanent MAC address though.

as i mentioned, i am using academic license. my license file name is 'B07349_34028621B7EF.lic'
i am using VNL on my laptop and after sending my physical address i got the 'free academic license'.
for now, i m gonna mail them again with all ids..

is there any other option that i can do?????

Post by: Jess Wellendorff on March 22, 2016, 15:54: My best guess is that you need to completely clean the license environment, and then set it up using the new license.
