Hi All,
I wonder if there is a detailed documentation/manual available for Polycrystal Builder. I know that there is only one tutorial is about how to use this tool.
Specifically, what is the seed file in Polycrystal builder ? how do we use it ? what are Grid points and Jitter ? etc
Thank you,
Yasheng

We actually have an internal manual for the Polycrystal builder. I have attached it. I hope it answers your questions.

Thank you. the attached document helps a lot.

Dear Administrator, I also read the manual file, Could you kindly give the explainations of (1) "rnd" in Seed Positions; (2) select or deselect "Generate grain based tages"?
does "rnd" mean "randomly ? distribution " ?
Best regards

Yes, "rnd" is short for "random".
"Generate grain-based tags" means that the atoms in each grain will be assigned a specific tag (0, 1, 2,...), making analysis easier.

btw, it there any requirement about the "Random seed" in "Generic Settings"? the defaul value is "2342". I think this value must be bigger than the "Count" in "Seed Positions", it is true?
Best regards.

No, this can be any arbitrary number. This number is used to initialize the random number generator. The name "seed" might be a bit misleading here, but it does not refer to the seeds of the grains.
