Seebeck Coeff. :SWCNT
« on: January 17, 2014, 08:23 »

I went through the mini tutorial..... "Isotope impurity effect on a single-wall carbon nanotube" ..... It's a nice one actually.... :)
/ Regarding that, I have a query....

1) How the Seebeck Coeff. has been calculated in this case?

Thanks Regards__

Exactly as it is reported here http://quantumwise.com/documents/tutorials/latest/Phonon/index.html/chap.thermoelectric.html#sect2.thermoelectric.analyze
namely, Peltier coefficient/T

But you are right, it is not really clear. We will highlight this point.

Umberto Martinez,

Yes, that will be helpful.... :) ... (because, the calculation of Seebeck for semi metals...where you don't have significant BG....itself is tricky...sometimes confusing too..!!)

Besides, can u please tell me that....
1) What is the significance of showing a range of ZT values which are too low....?? (can it be used to justify the metallic behaviour ??!!!)
2) And the Interpretation of a Larger or, smaller Peltier Coeff. ???

Thanks__
