defining the length of the nanotube
« on: December 14, 2010, 06:57 »
Hi
I have the structure of DWCNT. Is it possible to define the length of such configuration to a given value say 50nm or so.If possible what's the procedure to do so.Is there any option in VNL to see what's the length of nanotube in current display in the builder.

you can repeat a structure in the builder, and in this way control the length of the system.
Use menu: Transform/Repetition

You can see the length by visualizing the lattice, press the lattice button,
or press the z-matrix button, and select two atoms, then you will see the distance between the atoms
