Respected ATK users,

I wander whether or not it is possible to use some other material in place of oxide in magnetic tunneling junction in ATK. If it is possible then kindly give some hints for making such set up using VNL.

with best regards,
Mehboob

Of course, it is possible. But your last quest is too general.  A suggestion is that one reads the tutorial to learn how to build the MTJ of Fe/MgO/Fe. The basic steps in that example could be used to build other MTJs with different oxides. The important thing is that one has to pay attention to the lattice matching between the metallic electrode and the oxide.

Dear zh,
I can understand what you say but I want to place a molecule other than oxide in between the electrodes in MTJ. Is it possible? Can you suggest some example file for this?

With best regards,
Mehboob
