QATK2024.09 glibc version for older systems

(1/1)

janusz:
Hi
I recently installed the QATK2024.09 It seems it requires glibc2.18, I'm using Centos7 which has glibc2.17 as the latest version. Is there an easy way to run QATK2024 on systems with glibc2.17. If not, I will need to upgrade the servers, of course. Thanks for support.

Ulrik G. Vej-Hansen:
Unfortunately not, the W-2024.09 release of QuantumATK does not support CentOS 7, but requires version 8.4+ of RHEL/AlmaLinux/RockyLinux. For full requirements please see this page: https://docs.quantumatk.com/intro/installation/technical_hardware.html

Synopsys' full platform roadmap can be seen here: https://www.synopsys.com/support/licensing-installation-computeplatforms/compute-platforms/compute-platforms-roadmap.html

Anders Blom:
It is time to upgrade from CentOS 7 anyway, as it has reached end of life as of June 30 2024 (https://blog.centos.org/2023/04/end-dates-are-coming-for-centos-stream-8-and-centos-linux-7/).

Note, however, that the W-foundation from Synopsys does not support CentOS 8!

Thank you for reply and the hints.
