Charge stability diagram

Dear Experts,

What a charge stability diagram explains and how to understand it. It plotted it for benzene Single electron transistor, but i am unable to understand it.

please give me some information.

The charging energy of the island can be modified by an electrostatic gate. Thus, by tuning the gate voltage, the energy levels of the SET can be moved in and out of the bias window. This dependence of the SET conductance on the gate voltage and the bias potential is illustrated by the charge stability diagram in Figure 4. The plot uses a color code to show the number of energy levels inside the bias window for a given value of the sourceāˆ’drain bias and the gate voltage. The conductance is directly related to the number of energy levels inside the bias window.
