Unusual transmission pathway
« on: August 11, 2016, 13:10 »
Dear All,

I calculated the transmission pathway for my nanowire, it is attached under this post. it seems that some of the pathways are interacting with the neighbouring images.

Do you have any explanation why this happens? Thank you.

Regards,
Yasheng

Almost all atoms have some finite interaction with all other atoms, but most of them are very small. The effect you see is probably just because you have chosen to include all lines in the plot by setting the threshold to 0. If you increase the minimum just a bit, all those lines should disappear and you will only see the truly conducting pathways.
