device simulation
« on: June 21, 2014, 02:53 »
Dear Sir,
Suppose I have a self consistent device calculation from 0 to 1.0 V (havinng the DeviceConfiguration for different bias within a .nc file). Now if I want to start the simulation again from the last converged bias point (i.e from 1.0 V) to a bias upto 2.0 V, is it possible to start from the last bias point ? If possible, please help. To start from zero bias again will be too time consuming.

Thanks
Ramkrishna

You can do it if you saved the individual states by adding a filename to "Trajectory filename" in the IV Curve window.
check trajectory_filename in here http://www.quantumwise.com/documents/manuals/latest/ReferenceManual/index.html/ref.ivcurve.html

The file contains all the individual SCF evaluations at different bias values.
In the LabFloor you will see them as DeviceConfiguration objects.

Now you can start a IVCurve analysis with the last one, for example, and remember to start the NEW IV curve from here. 1V in your case.
