From my knowledge, in the calculator section, you can edit the properties of PLDOS shows the contour plot of energies related to valence and conduction band, and you can extract information such as Schottky barrier height. If you want actual projections based on sites (after tagging)/ spin/ orbitals/ elements,you have to choose Projected Density of States.

thanks for your replied. I found out that Projected LDOS is LDOS projected along z axis.

I am analyzing the local density of states (LDOS) in a FET device simulation and came across two calculation options: Projected Local Density of States (PLDOS) and Local DOS (LDOS). However, the manual does not provide detailed information on what the term “projected” specifically refers to. Could you clarify how this projection is carried out and with respect to what basis or reference it is defined? Apart from the projection aspect, are there any other fundamental or technical differences between PLDOS and LDOS?
