Hello,

In Landauer–Buttiker formula for current dependent on temperature of electrodes of device, why current density is not used. Please let me know.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

Can I calculate the up-up, down-down, up-down, and down-up components of Hall coefficients?

4
Hi everyone,

How to calculate heat capacity of spin-up and spin-down electrons for a device with metallic interface?

Thanks

5
Hello everyone,

Is there any tutorial available to compute Hall coefficient and Hall conductivity tensors?

Please let me know.

Thank you

6
Please let me know about this.

Thank you.

Hello everyone,

How to calculate Hall conductivity and Seebeck coefficient of a two probe device in Quantum ATK?

Thank you

9
Please let me know about this.

Hello,

What more information we can extract from spin polarized transmission curve apart from telling the contribution of up and down spin states using ATK?

Thank you

Hello,

Thank you for the reply. Yes, the structure is a heterostructure having same type of electrode on both the sides. For some temperature difference  between left and right electrode,(let's say for TL= 300 K, 400 K) the current is flowing from hot to cold (positive current) while for some (let's say for TL= 500 K) it changes sign and flow from cold to hot (negative current). Could you please let me know how I explain this phenomena or suggest me some references. It is confusing me a lot.

Thank you

Hello,

The current should flow from high temperature to low temperature. How it is flowing in opposite direction? From where I can read more about it?

Thank you

Hello everyone,

What would be the spin of central region for setting parallel and antiparallel configuration for a two probe device geometry having a spin polarized central region? In case of Fe-MgO-Fe, the MgO spin was zero, but if the central region is spin polarized (lets say Fe or any 2d material) then what would be the spin on atoms for parallel and antiparallel case?

Hello,

For a two probe heterostructure device, the direction of current change from positive to negative with increase in  left (or right) electrode temperature. What could be possible explanation?

Thank you

Hi everyone,

While doing temperature dependent spin polarized current calculation, what is the direction of current if left electrode is at high temperature and right electrode is at low temperature. In some cases the up spin is in negative in sign and lower in magnitude than down spin, what could be possible explanation? Also, is it possible that total current (up spin+down spin) flow from cold electrode to hot electrode?

Thank you
