RDF data file extraction.
« on: July 31, 2015, 08:05 »
I have plotted the radial distribution function for my structure but I am not able to extract the data file for the graph as it is present in image form. Kindly suggest a way to extract data file of RDF.

To extract the data of your plot, right-click on the plot window and select "Export Data" from the menu.
A simple text file will be saved.

Sir,
This export data option is not available in the atk 2014.3 version. Is there any other way to export data?

Sure, you are right.
The MD analysis tools have been improved quite a lot in the newest 2015 release. Still in the beta version but I suggest you to have a look at it.
Also, many more analysis have been introduced.

Anyway, the short answer is that you cannot export the data in VNL 2014.
However, you can use the attached script which uses the RadialDistribution function "hidden" in the code.
Note that this is well documented in the 2015 reference manual which you can find at  in the installation directory.

Open the script, replace filename containing your trajectory, and eventually modify parameters.
Hope this helps!
