SOI and spin-dependent voltage drop
«

Dear colleagues,
I have two questions:
1. Is spin-orbit interation taken into consideration by atk when we conduct a two-probe transmission calculation;
and
2. Can we calculate spin-resolved voltage-drop with ATK 11.2?
Thanks,
baizq

The spin-orbit coupling is not implemented now. Other discussion related to this topic can be seen here:

The spin-resolved "EffectivePotential" can be printed out by calling EffectivePotential(configuration, spin), therefore the spin-resolved voltage drop can be obtained by means of the calculation of spin-resolved "EffectivePotential".
