Fails to start

Dear ATK Users,
The ATK was running and after a while it crashed. Now, it fails to start and after clicking on the VNL icon  nothing happens. Only the logo appears and then it disappears.
Could you please let me know what to do?

Could you start it from a terminal and post the error message here?

Thank you for your attention.
I put VNL in terminal then the VNL logo appeared and disappeared with no message!
I remember it happened once in before and I removed a file and it became healthy. I do not remember that procedure now.

Generally speaking ATK and VNL do not work in environments where you use other characters than the English ones (a-Z and numbers) in username, project directory name, installation dir, etc. So somewhere in your environment or (as it seems) main.ini file such a file or directory is present. A simple solution for the moment is to rename $HOME/.vnl/main.ini to something else and attempt to start VNL. You will lose all your projects (not the projects themselves, but the list of them), but you can easily rebuild that. Alternatively, you can look inside main.ini and try to find where you are using an odd character. If all else fails, send main.ini to us for autopsy.

Is $home/.vnl an address? I could not find main.ini file. Could you please clarify it?
