Problem about using the trail license
« on: December 19, 2010, 05:06 »
I have two questions:
1.
This mornig, I open ATK 2010
It shows: system clock has been set back , see the attachment.
I don't know why, and how wo solve it.

2.
How to restart the license sever ?
our cluster install ATK2010.8.2, and each time the system shut down, we must restart the license server, and each time we ask the engineer for help. That's troublesome.
So, what the command line we should write into ?

Thank you.l

1. The problem with the clock should be solved by syncing your system time properly with an NTP time server regularly.

2. You may enter the same command used to start the license server manually into the startup files, like rc.local. We provide, in the Linux distribution, a file called lmx-serv-run.sh (you will find it in the "license" directory) which is a bit more advanced and provides the usual "start|stop|restart" functionality for init.d scripts. Installation instructions depend a bit on the particular Linux distribution, there are enough details inside the file that a sysadm should be able to figure it out :)
