Dear All,

Can we use ATK to calculate impact ionization scattering rate of carbon nanotubes? Thank you very much.

Attached please find related equations in reference: Perebeinos, V. and P. Avouris, Impact excitation by hot carriers in carbon nanotubes. Physical Review B, 2006. 74(12): p. 121410.

It should in principle be possible to compute the impact ionization scattering rate using ATK. All the components are available as ATK analysis objects. The tricky part is to put them together correctly. This will require you do some "massaging" of ATK analysis data, but it should be possible.

Can the impact ionization coefficient be calculated for the 2022 version? Is there a script to refer to?
