Running error
« on: January 27, 2010, 04:18 »
I tried to visualize the results using Nanoscope. And the following error message pops up:
"An internal error occured

exceptions. UnboundLocalError:
local variable 's' referenced before assignment

The program will try to continue but might behave in unexpected ways. Please consider restarting the program to avoid such side effects."

Any one can help me what is going on? Thank you very much.

Could be if using a VNL file from an older version, otherwise we probably have to see the file to figure it out, or at least the script which made the file.

Do you carefully check the script specially on the local variable 's' ?   Do the path of the results files  have an chinese name
or the name of the results files have some stranger letters?

Otherwise may be you should send the file here, or at least the script which made the file here.

Thanks a lot for the reply.

What exactly "the local variable 's' " means? And there is no problem of the file path and the file name.

The local variable s is internal to the Nanoscope, not the user script. It's an odd error, I'm trying to reproduce it. It might be that the VNL file contains "too much".
