New synopsy licence is not detectable as it not in .lic form

Kindly help me in sorting out the issue that new licence that  I recently received from synopsys. It is a .txt file and not in .lic form. When tried to install the file is not being detectable by machine and I could not  install VNL 2017.2. Please help/

You can change the file format to .lic

You cannot use the new licenses files for versions prior to 2017.12. Changing the extension will not affect this.

If you need to use a new licenses, you also need to use 2017.12, until O-2018.06 is released. If you have more questions related to the license system, please contact [email protected]

As per suggestion I have changed the format to .lic ; however still it is not working and showing syntax error.

The "txt" file license can only be used with 2017.12 and newer, not 2017.2
